Edinburgh people!

Oh folks, hello folks. I am summoned unto Edinburgh this Friday to run a whisky tasting session for the Russians. After that (and, presumably, enough time on Saturday morning to recover), I'm in town until the following Thursday.

Obviously I want to see as many of you as possible, and I'll be in the pub on the Wednesday.

Anyone up for a trip out to North Berwick or something, on Saturday or Sunday?

Good but problematic: you need a membership card to get in, members can only admit two guests at the tasting rooms on Queen Street, and the vaults in Leith are a long way out of the way for most people.

Nice way to install a hangover though, and I haven't been there for ages :)

There are many whisky bars that don't require an annual subscription. Usquabae at the West End springs to mind. Frankly, Dagda's range isn't bad.

We've rearranged our plans, so I'll be free for at least a bit of drinking on the 20th wherever Paul ends up suggesting.

Dagda sounds fine, and as Charlie says, avoids the membership card issue.
