That would explain why the Brig looks so worried as soon as she says it. He doesn't look like he's either pleased or frustrated at the notion of seeing the Doctor again. He doesn't look like he's concerned about the gravity of the situation if the Doctor is involved. And he definitely doesn't look like he's worried that he now has to explain something complicated from his military past to his new wife. He looks exactly like he's downcast because Doris has, unwittingly, added a depressing note to what would otherwise be an exciting development.
